Host a Slidev deck

Build a portable Slidev bundle and share it through Lumdeck.

Build your Slidev deck into static files, then upload the output folder as a ZIP. Lumdeck hosts the result; it does not run Slidev's development server or compile Markdown for you.

Build and package

Run this in your existing Slidev project:

Terminal
npx slidev build slides.md --base ./ --without-notes
  1. Inspect dist/index.html and the generated assets.
  2. ZIP the contents of dist, so index.html is at the archive root.
  3. Upload the ZIP to Lumdeck and resolve any validation errors.
  4. Check every slide, image, font and interactive component in the viewer.

The relative base makes asset URLs portable within the hosted bundle. --without-notes excludes speaker notes from the built deck; otherwise anything in the upload may be accessible to a recipient. Do not include the source project or environment files.

Lumdeck follows supported hash navigation. Check that your export's slide indicator advances correctly; custom routing or plugins can require a protocol integration. Use the slide-tracking checklist before interpreting per-slide analytics.

Create a share link with the required protection and expiry. A recipient can view a public Lumdeck link without a Lumdeck account; email-code links require mailbox verification. To revise the deck, rebuild and upload a new version to the same presentation.

Framework documentation checked 7 October 2026: Slidev building and hosting (opens in a new tab) documents the static build, output directory and note-removal option. Review bundle rules and static-hosting alternatives if your deck needs a different runtime.
