Export Claude presentations as HTML and share them

Download the HTML of a Claude artifact or Claude Slides deck and share it.

Claude can write a slide deck as an HTML file. Upload the exported HTML to Lumdeck and share a link recipients can open without a Lumdeck or Claude account; optional link controls still apply.

Anthropic’s artifact sharing guide (opens in a new tab) describes account requirements and legacy exceptions. Check the access settings for your artifact rather than assuming every Claude link behaves alike. Source checked 7 October 2026.

1. Ask for one self-contained file

Ask for the deck as a single HTML file. A prompt that works well:

Prompt
Make a 10-slide presentation about <topic> as ONE self-contained HTML file.
Put all CSS and JavaScript inline. Use arrow keys and space to move between slides.
Show one slide at a time at 16:9. No external images; draw diagrams with inline SVG.

Fonts from Google Fonts and libraries from the common CDNs (jsDelivr, unpkg, cdnjs, esm.sh) are fine. See what an upload may contain.

2. Download the HTML

  • Artifact or Claude Slides: open the artifact, then use its menu to download the file. If you only see a copy button, copy the code, paste it into a plain-text editor and save it as deck.html.
  • Claude Code or Claude in an IDE: the file is already on your disk. Upload it as it is.
  • A deck with several files (a folder with index.html, images and scripts): zip the folder and upload the zip.

3. Upload and share

  1. In Lumdeck, open your library and choose Upload presentation. Drop the .html or .zip.
  2. The deck is checked in a few seconds. If something is refused, the report names the file and the rule; fix it (or ask Claude to) and upload again as a new version.
  3. Choose Share, create a link and send it. Recipients need no account. See share links.

If Claude edits the deck later, upload the new file to the same presentation as a new version. The link you already sent shows the new version, unless you pinned the link to an older one.

Verify slide engagement

On Pro and Team, Lumdeck reports aggregate slide views and visible time from supported slide events. These measure browser activity, not proof that a person read the slide. Decks built with reveal.js are recognised automatically; for other decks, ask Claude to add the few lines described in the deck protocol so every slide change is reported.

Publish straight from Claude

Within each plan’s API limits, Claude Desktop, Claude Code and other MCP clients can publish to Lumdeck without a download step. See the public MCP setup instructions; the full workspace configuration panels require Pro or Team.

What the recipient sees

A shared Lumdeck viewer opens the presentation in a browser. Unrestricted links need no Lumdeck account; password and e-mail gates ask for their required checks. Test the exact exported deck on the devices your audience uses, especially nested interactive modules. A report control is available from the viewer.

See the current plan limits and supported capabilities and limitations.
