Publish a deck made in Gemini

Copy the code of a Gemini Canvas deck into an HTML file and upload it.

Gemini's Canvas can build a presentation as a web page. Google’s Canvas guide (opens in a new tab) says shared Canvas links open in gemini.google.com (checked 7 October 2026). Put the HTML into Lumdeck and they only need a browser.

1. Ask for HTML, not Google Slides

Prompt
In Canvas, build a 10-slide presentation about <topic> as one self-contained HTML page:
inline CSS and JavaScript, 16:9 slides, one slide at a time, arrow-key navigation.

If Gemini offers to export to Google Slides, that produces a Slides file instead; for Lumdeck you want the HTML code.

2. Copy the code into a file

  1. In the Canvas, switch to the Code view.
  2. Copy all of the code.
  3. Paste it into a plain-text editor and save it as deck.html (plain text, UTF-8).

3. Upload and share

  1. In Lumdeck, choose Upload presentation and drop deck.html.
  2. Fix anything the check reports; see what an upload may contain.
  3. Choose Share and send the link. See share links.

Tips

  • Gemini decks often load Tailwind or fonts from a CDN. The common ones (cdn.tailwindcss.com, Google Fonts, jsDelivr, unpkg, cdnjs, esm.sh) are allowed.
  • For per-slide reading, ask Gemini to add the slide events from the deck protocol.

What the recipient sees

A shared Lumdeck viewer opens the presentation in a browser. Unrestricted links need no Lumdeck account; password and e-mail gates ask for their required checks. Test the exact exported deck on the devices your audience uses, especially nested interactive modules. A report control is available from the viewer.
